As someone who struggled with emotional eating and negative body image for most of my life, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to break free from these patterns. For me, these issues were closely linked to a difficult marriage and a deep-seated sense of not being good enough.

Growing up, I had very negative thoughts about myself and my body. I went to an all-girls school and wore glasses (which at the time didn't help, I LOVE my glasses now), and I always felt like I was bigger than everyone else. I remember even wrapping my legs with sellotape in an attempt to make myself look smaller. Looking back at pictures now, I realise that I wasn't big at all, but my perception of myself was so distorted by my negative self-image.

I tried many different approaches to lose weight and feel better about myself, but nothing seemed to work. I would eat my troubles away, and the more weight I gained, the worse I felt about myself. It was a vicious cycle that felt impossible to break.

That's when I turned to hypnotherapy. I was willing to try anything to finally overcome my issues. The effects were almost immediate. Through hypnotherapy, I was able to reframe my negative beliefs and thoughts about myself and my body. I learned how to manage my emotions without turning to food, and I developed a sense of self-compassion that I had never experienced before.

What's amazing is that as the weight came off my mind, it came off my body too. I no longer felt the need to use food as a coping mechanism, and I started to feel more confident and empowered in my own skin. Hypnotherapy helped me break free from my negative patterns and live a happier, healthier life.
